Service Terms
These Service Terms govern specific features and functionality of the August platform provided by Credicle Corporation.
1. PREVIEW FEATURES
1.1 This section addresses services or features August offers on preview, beta, or early access basis ("Preview Features") that you elect to use. Feedback concerning Preview Features may enhance the Service.
1.2 Preview Features are provided as-is and as-available. Your access or use occurs at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, August disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether express or implied, including merchantability, satisfactory quality, title, fitness for particular purpose, and non-infringement.
1.3 To the extent allowed by applicable law, August's liability regarding Preview Features is capped at $100,000.00.
1.4 Unless otherwise indicated, Preview Features receive standard metering and billing treatment.
1.5 August may substantially modify Preview Features during preview periods and may discontinue them entirely.
2. DATA STORAGE
2.1 You acknowledge that storing Customer Data or Content outside your selected data processing region's default location may affect Services performance and availability.
2.2 Notwithstanding other Terms provisions, workspace retention settings do not apply to certain features detailed in August's Documentation.
3. TARGETED SOURCE FEATURES
3.1 "Targeted Source Features" means user capability to query specific data sources—including publicly available web sources, knowledge sources, or uploaded documents—within the Service.
3.2 Content may incorporate portions of Customer Data or exogenous data sources. Such incorporation does not alter IP ownership of these portions.
4. WEB BROWSING AND KNOWLEDGE SOURCES
4.1 Web browsing and Knowledge Sources enhance user experience through direct world-wide-web querying capabilities integrated throughout the Service.
4.2 When customers activate the "Web Browsing Feature" or "Knowledge Source Feature," relevant URL links accompany returned Output.
4.3 August engages listed Subprocessors: the "Web Browsing Subprocessor" provides web searching functionality; the "Knowledge Source Subprocessor" searches URLs inaccessible through August's AI providers. Customers may opt-in to either Subprocessor.
4.4 Both Subprocessors process Customer Data and Content at locations specified on www.august.law/legal/subprocessors, potentially outside your selected data processing region. Certain Knowledge Source Subprocessors lack HIPAA compliance; Protected Health Information cannot be processed through such Subprocessors.
4.5 Web Browsing and Knowledge Source constitute Targeted Source Features.
5. INTEGRATION FEATURES
5.1 August may offer integrations with third-party services including document management systems, email platforms, and other enterprise applications.
5.2 When using integrations, You acknowledge that Customer Data and Content may be processed by third-party subprocessors according to their respective terms and privacy policies.
5.3 August engages listed Subprocessors to provide integration functionality. Such Subprocessors process Customer Data and Content at locations specified on www.august.law/legal/subprocessors.
5.4 August maintains a list of approved subprocessors on our Subprocessors page. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting applicable third-party terms when enabling integrations.
